Content

The pdf's contain all the material in written form presented in each section. The optional videos cover the same material with additional verbal explanation. If you are comfortable with your understanding of the pdfs, there is no need to watch the videos.

For purposes of this pre-course, you can ignore all references to computer commands, which are minimal but covered in the actual course. Section 1.2 is about using the computer and so is not listed below. The other pdfs/videos contain references to the computer, but you can skip this material where it occurs. The focus for the pre-course is limited to basic statistical concepts such as a histogram, standard deviation, etc.

The pdfs are updated on a regular, ongoing basis. The videos are updated less frequently. So if there are any minor differences between the two presentations, the pdfs are more current.

Section 1.3d (cumulative histograms) and 1.3e (Pareto charts) are included in the pdf's for those interested, but they are not part of the ISQA 513 course and, as such, there are no corresponding videos.
