Careers module assignment

A job search should be part of your on-going activities as a student. Identifying target jobs helps you understand what skills, knowledge and experience you should be crafting into your undergraduate curriculum and co-curricular activities.

The assignment for this module is to use the Career Center listing of jobs (or other sources) to find a job that you would want to apply for. Then list the qualifications for that job and assess which ones you meet and what you should do to aquire the qualifications you don't meet. This might be gaining some specific skill (such as GIS modeling), taking particular courses, or gaining field experience.

Submit a document to D2L dropbox that has the following information:

job title and short description

source of the announcement

listed requirements

how you will meet the knowledge, skills, and experience requirements through your course of study and other activities
