TIE YOUR PERFECT RUNNING SHOE
-
Loop Lacing
For a comfy instep: make a loop at the top of your shoe. This gives you a comfortable and snug fit to prevent the foot from moving around in the shoe, whatever terrain you are in.
-
Diagonal Lacing
Free your toes: take the diagonal route. Lift the toe box and follow the natural motion of your foot. You'll have to make your laces uneven (as you can see where is naturally halfway). The shorter lace stays on the bottom and cuts to the opposite and last eyelet. The longer lace goes through all the eyelets and ends up on the opposite side.
-
Cross-over Lacing
For those who arch higher: try cross-over lacing. Simply loosen up the middle of the middle part to make more space for your peaks. The laces go every other hole underneath.
-
Skip Lacing
For a high midfoot: skip, skip, skip! Similar to the cross-over lacing, but even simpler. Just skip the lacing where you want to allow more room.
-
Extra Eyelet
For those who easily slip out: tie again. Most shoes will have an extra eyelet more towards the ankle. So, stitch your laces one more time into that extra eyelet, and your foot won't be going anywhere.
