OMEA Convention-Ratification of Constitution Meeting 1/27/2000 12:00pm

Discussion:
President Chris Adams checked to see which members present would be going to OMEA convention. Katie, Melanie, Betsi and Helene signified that they would be attending. Setting up PSU's booth, helping out at the convention, the collegiate breakfast and the Saturday Night Collegiate bowling were discussed.
The president reviewed the pros and cons of joining SOC (see 1/13/2000 board meeting). The board had approved joining at their last board meeting (1/20/2000).
The decision to join SOC was put up for a vote. The chapter was unanimously in favor.
The revised constitution has been approved by SOC. Chris Adams read the highlights. The ratification vote was put to the chapter. The vote was unanimously in favor of ratification. The constitution was signed by the Board and the Chapter Advisor. (Copies of the constitution are available. Please e-mail Chris Adams if you would like one.)
Next meeting dates were set: Board 2/22/2000 at SMC. Chapter 2/24/2000 at LH321
