The Enzo Blog: 2007

I think this may be the last post on the Enzo Blog. Why? Enzo has made so much progress that there isn't much to report any more. He's still shy, sometimes fearful, and has some odd habits likely stemming from fear. But, for the most part he's a pretty "normal" dog. He's enjoying our walks more, as indicated by his tail not being glued to his butt the whole time. The trainer had suggested getting a lighter weight leash, and that seems to have worked, along with his overall gain in confidence. I usually let him off leash in our nearby park and, if there are other dogs around, he loves running with them. He's gotten pretty good at coming when called and doesn't stray far.

We drove down to California for Christmas. He slept most of the time on the way down, but did throw up once. He did remarkably well at Doranne and Steve's house for the week. He sometimes retreated to his travel crate (which Fiona also really enjoyed!) or slinked away from a room with a lot of talking people. But, for the most he seemed pretty comfortable meeting new people and hanging out. He played a lot with the other poodles (Cody, Fiona, and Hayley) and his best friend Bailey, and really enjoyed running around the yard. The whole trip wore him out, and he slept soundly all the way home, with no incidents.

My mom made him a great stocking (photo below).

Nothing to do with Enzo, but a great shot of our fun with Diet Coke and Mentos.
