PSU Academic Calendar & PSU Final Exam Schedule

The course this quarter will cover Kontexte 9-16, at a rate of one Kontext per week, with some time taken along the way for tutorials and tests.

Dates are in the standard international sequence: dd/mm (example: 10.02 = February 10, NOT October 2). Text altered with strikeout indicates material to ignore, at least for the present.

Review of content from previous quarter; review of final exams from previous quarter.

Do Assignment #1 (email instructor, etc.). It is assigned at the first class meeting and is due as follows: for score of 6 on "on-time" factor) - same day as assigned; for score of 4 on "on-time" factor - received by 11:59:59 pm on the Friday of the first week of classes.

Participants who are ABSOLUTELY NEW to the course: 1) Do also Assignment #2, which helps you explore the course materials and asks how they fit your image of language learning. 2) Take the WebCAPE online placement advice test (=Assignment #3). 3) Look at the "Big Picture" view of course, and also the presentation about tests and grading, which were presented in class during the first quarter of the course. Your instructor may also want you to provide a German writing sample, perhaps using part of the previous quarter's final exam.

Returning students: your instructor may give you an equivalent assignment, such as revising your written final and project from the previous quarter.
