Dave obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honors in Chemistry) from the University of Victoria in 2005. He then moved to Ottawa, ON and studied at the University of Ottawa under the guidance of Prof. Keith Fagnou. In 2010 he was granted a Ph.D. and subsequently moved to Cambridge, MA as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University in the laboratory of Prof. Eric Jacobsen. He started his independent career at Portland State University in September 2012. Dave's academic interests include all areas of organic synthesis particularly in the discovery and development of new chemical reactivity.
