Ozawa, Connie P., Recasting Science: Consensual Procedures in Public Policy Making. Westview Press, (1991), 143 pp. This book is based on my dissertation and explores the use of mediation in three science-intensive cases: a regulatory negotiation on wood stoves, a fishing dispute in the Great lakes, and a proposed municipal solid waste incinerator in New York City. The book is, now out-of-print, but I have seen viewings of the book on Amazon. com!
