UNST Goals

Students will learn that they have a responsibility to society and that one person can make a difference, through a group effort in their learning community.

I feel like I have become more aware of my difficulties that other people have. This quarter my class learned about slavery and all of the things that came from that. It was kind of interesting to see that even though slavery was abolished over a hundred years ago, slavery still exists today, just in different forms. One example of this is illegal immigrants working in the fields. Another example that my freshman inquiry class learned about is Jamaica's economy.

Examples of Work:
Four Women: Spring Midterm

- I chose to put this paper on my e-portfolio because I really enjoyed learning about the topic. I felt a connection with the "Four Women" from each of the songs and I really enjoyed each song.

Down Syndrome, Amniocentisis,& Abortion: Final Paper

- I chose this piece of work because I felt that it had a lot to do with ethics. I also have been working on it throughtout the entire year.
