Jorge
Escobedo received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Louisiana State
University. His research expertise includes the design (using
molecular simulations) and synthesis of supramolecular assemblies,
chromophoric and fluorophoric dyes and probes for molecular
recognition of biomarkers for various diseases and the development
of analytical methods using these dyes. Since 2007, He has been
working as a research associate at Portland State University with
Professor Robert M. Strongin.
