Greetings. My name is Gregg Harris, and my son's name is James. Together we’ve founded Roosevelt's Terrariums.
I (Gregg) am an old hippie from the late 1960s. I am now 65 and semi-retired from my work as a conference speaker and seminar presenter. I speak on life-style options and decisions (e.g. marriage, family, educational strategies, home and family business, and other aspects of family life. Roosevelt's Terrariums is a real business, but it is also a “laboratory” for my research on home and family business. I speak and write on what I learn. In Roosevelt's I get to test out ideas about small business reform.
As an avocation, I am also a Theodore Roosevelt fan (hence the name, Roosevelt's Terrariums). I even “reprise” the life and times of President Roosevelt in full period attire, as in "An Evening with Theodore Roosevelt."
James, age 17, is a student. He is also an aspiring artist, a very good photographer, and a master terrarium planter who often teaches our DIY classes.
In 2014, James and I decided to down-size from our large home in the country to move into our little live/work apartment/terrarium shop here in the city. Roosevelt's Terrariums is a “tiny business,” and we hope to stir up a “tiny business movement” to reform the way people do small home and family business. I will write on what I discover in the experiment as we go.
But in spite of our small size, Roosevelt's Terrariums offers the best terrariums available anywhere. If we don't already have it or do it, we can get it or learn it.
