Biographical Details:
It is thought that George Perkins was born about 1540 in Warwickshire. However, very little is known of his life, except that his wife's given name was Katherine. Seven children have been attributed to them. Within this context, it is plausible that Joan and Elizabeth were a pair of twins, however, it is believed that Elizabeth died young, likely as an infant. In all probability, George was a farmer and he and his wife spent their entire lives in Warwickshire in the vicinity of the villages of Abbots Salford and Salford Priors. It is known that he was buried September 20, 1586, at Salford Priors. Furthermore, administration of George Perkins' estate was granted to his wife, Katherine, on October 7, 1586. Presumably, this implies that he died during September of that same year.Source Citations:
