Students are notified about timed assignments and are allotted time adjustments on a case-by-case basis

In order for students with disabilities to receive any in-class accommodations, they must first initiate services with the Disability Resource Center. The DRC will generate a Faculty Letter listing all of the student's approved accommodations, which will be sent directly to faculty. Finally, the student must discuss their accommodation needs in a timely manner with those who provide them. Accommodations documented in a student’s letter from the DRC may include flexibility on attendance, short breaks on tests, and extended time on time-based assignments and tests.Desire2Learn provides a special access tool that allows you to extend time for certain students that you add. It is an easy step to extend time for a student with a documented disability.
