After noticing a severe lack of donuts in Portland, husband and wife team Chas and Christine Bowie decided it was up to them to bring the tasty pastry to the people of their city. The couple brings a friendly, retro charm and classic, delicious baking techniques to their donut shop, Betty Donut. All donuts are made from scratch using a secret family recipe that has been passed down through the generations. After eating one of their specialties, Chas and Christine think you'll agree that their donuts equal happiness.

It's obvious Chas and Christine share a love of donuts. In addition, they also love art, books, and old records. Chas has a passion for photo history, good coffee, and writing about art. Christine enjoys combing through estate sales, sewing, and collecting vintage Halloween photos. They have a nine-year-old daughter who loves reading, jigsaw puzzles, and of course, donuts.
