Map

The goal for this project was to make a map with five levels of information. I started by writing down random places I like until I wrote Turkey, I remembered how beautiful it was when I visited it and how beautiful it’s buildings are. I thought that illustrating historical buildings would be great. At first I looked at many maps of Istanbul and found how complicated they are, so I decided to make my map simple and fun to look at. I made an exact illustration of the map of Istanbul and after that I started taking things out without destroying it or making it misleading. Every building is where it is in relation to the other buildings. I thought about many ways to make the map look fun, such like; colors, and details. I wanted the viewer to have fun looking at my map.
