SUMMER ACADEMY TO INSPIRE LEARNING (SAIL) AT PSU

The Summer Academy to Inspire Learning (SAIL) at Portland State University is a five-day summer camp for middle and high school students.  The program is free to students and led by volunteer faculty with the aim of increasing the number of low-income students enrolling and succeeding in college. Research shows that SAIL graduates have a significantly higher graduation rate than students who did not attend. At SAIL, the mere exposure to higher education creates inspiration and focus for intelligent, motivated students who should be college bound.
