June Stipak, forced to paddle a canoe to save herself


The sequence above shows my mother when I pulled another joke on her in 1978. We were out for a canoe ride. You can see on the left that she was having a good time. We stopped on an island, and I got off. Then, without her even realizing it, I slowly sent the canoe adrift with her alone aboard. She had never paddled a canoe up until then. In the middle picture you can see her determination to paddle to shore. In the picture at right she does not look as happy as before!
