Laboratory exercises: Lunar stratigraphy I and II

Objective: These exercises will illustrate the use of impact craters in constraining relative ages of landforms on the lunar surface. Based on stratigraphic relationships, you will deduce the geologic history of two regions on the lunar surface. You will also gain practice for doing photogeology and learn a little about lunar landforms.



REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS:

Lunar stratigraphy I (25 points). SE Imbrium.



EXTRA CREDIT PORTION:

Earn up to 0.8% extra to your total grade for the term by completing the extra credit portion.
