About this site

The Hominis Inquiry was cooked up as . It is an attempt to compile social scientific research and speculations relating in various ways to the humans as animals and the development of human societies in an integrated research-based approach and roll them into the practical and existential questions that . You could say my aims are somewhat like those of a popular sociologist or nutjob psychobiologist (my interest in analyzing used toilet paper is not sufficient to call my work anthropology, however). The 'research-based' aspect emphasizes the empirical nature of modern social science, that is, guided by direct observation. No speculation is too wild or imaginative, except when it contradicts an obervation. In the information age, the greatest thinkers of our time paddle madly to keep afloat of current findings. There is no speculation that is too wild or imaginative to have social scientific merit, so long as it is fundamentally compatible with valid and reliable observations. That 'objectivity' aside, I have my share of beliefs that many may consider objectionable. To this end, the moderators who are graciously helping keep the site do not necessarily represent my view on a given topic but are contributing material that broadens the perspective of the site. If you're somehow still interested in learning about these personal views, I've written a few critical essays in the preamble on social issues. The purpose of the site is to bring ab ; my personal views and values necessarily serve as a lens to identify the arguments I bring forth, but the aim is ultimately to bring refreshed discussion. The ultimate aim of this website, however, is to and promote vital discussion of human phenomena in this holistic context. About the Author I am a recent college graduate , with a particular focus in social psychology research. I've already committed myself I'm based in Portland, OR.
