Northern Oregon Coast Tour

Saturday, June 19, 1999 10 AM to 6 PM $47.00
Journey along Oregon's breathtaking coastline stopping for viewing
wildlife, pristine beaches and rocky cliff headlands. Learn about
natural, Native American and regional history. Options include beach or ancient forest walks, shopping, wine tasting or cheese factory visits. Lunch is on your own. Many price ranges of restaurants are available.

Winery Tour in the Oregon Countryside

Saturday, June 19, 1999 10 AM to 6 PM $59.00
Savor award-winning Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Riesling
while your designated driver guides you through the rolling hills of the
picturesque Williamette Valley. Visits to at least four wineries, all
tasting fees and a step-by-step tour of the wine-making process are included. A gourmet picnic lunch will be provided. $59.00

Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls / Mount Hood Loop

Visit many of Oregon's most famous scenic attractions in one day --
Multnomah Falls, the Columbia River and Timberline Lodge on Mount
Hood! Tumbling waterfalls, incredible scenic overlooks, orchard-filled
valleys, acrobatic windsurfers, majestic mountains, and the Oregon Trail
await you on this tour which rises from sea level to over 6000 feet in
one scenic loop! Lunch is on your own. Many price ranges of restaurants are available.

Mount Saint Helens Volcano Tour

Sunday, June 20, 1999 8AM - 4PM $55.00
Learn about the "blast zone", mudflows, pyroclastic flows, the
regeneration, and the largest avalanche recorded by man. The immense
effects from the eruption of Mount Saint Helens to the surrounding
Cascades must be seen to be appreciated. Many incredible photo stops
including the new Johnston Ridge Observatory. Lunch is on your own.
We will stop at the monument cafeteria.

Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls Tour - Half Day

Wednesday, June 23, 1999 1 PM - 5 PM $30.00
Visit some of Oregon's most incredible views including mountainous
overlooks of the Columbia River, Washington State, Multnomah Falls,
and the Bonneville Dam! Many are surprised with the natural beauty
which is available within a half hour from downtown Portland. We'll
stop at several waterfalls with interesting names like Latourell,
Wahkeena, and Multnomah for short walks, quiet reflection or photo opportunities (you choose).The Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls Tour is considered the best half day tour in the Oregon by many.

An itinerary of the Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls Tour
1:00 PM Pick up at your hotel or residence. Head east to the only
sea- level gorge through the Cascade Mountains cut by the Columbia
River.
1:35 PM Our first stop will be Chanticleer Point. Situated 700 feet
above the mighty Columbia River, we'll be able to see incredible views
overlooking the Columbia River, Washington State and the Oregon side
of the gorge.
1:50 PM Stop at the historic Vista House for a spectacular thirty-mile
view of the river and a rest stop with interesting historic photography
and native wildflower exhibits.
2:20 PM Head further east on the "Old Scenic Highway" while you learn about the history of the first mountain highway of the west. We'll stop at several waterfalls with interesting names like Latourell, Wahkeena, Multnomah and Horsetail for short walks or longer hikes (you choose), quiet reflection and photo opportunities.
3:00 PM Guests always enjoy the visit to Multnomah Falls, Oregon's
most famous and tallest waterfall at 620 feet. EcoTours will provide
plenty of time for you to enjoy the ten-minute walk up to the Benson
Bridge between the lower and upper falls for views and photos, and to
visit the Nature Center and Gift Shop.
3:45 PM Still heading east, we'll discuss the life cycle of Pacific
Northwest Salmon en route to the Bonneville Dam, where we may see
migrating adult salmon through the fish-viewing windows and in the fish
ladders.
5:00 PM Return to your hotel.
The cost of this half day tour is $30.00 per person, which includes
door-to-door transportation and the interpretive naturalist services of
your ecotour guide.
