Locate your position with respect to the grade you really want

Calculate what you need on the final exam:

example - you have 220 points and want a B, not a C

you need 65% of the points on the final (130) PLUS 21 more to make up your current deficit under the B borderline

if you get 151 on the final you will end up at the bottom of the B range (i.e., a B-)

Note that extra credit points (up to 15 via e-mail) could be very useful here
