E-Molecules
|
How to do E-Molecules
Go to Blackboard to find your list of nine E-Molecules. They are listed
in your Gradebook as M1-M9. The complete list by number is below.
E-Molecules must be submitted within Blackboard.
E-mail molecules can only be returned one per week (weeks officially end
on Mondays at 8:30 am - watch out for Monday holidays).
Each one returned with correct information will receive two extra credit points.
It is expected that you do your own work on these assignments and that
you log in to the WebCT site as yourself.
What to submit
The information you should return about each molecule is the following:
1) the NUMBER (very important) and name of the molecule you are reporting
on,
2) the molecular formula, i.e., CxHy etc.,
3) the number of carbons with sp3 hybridization,
4) the family name of at least one functional group present,
5) the biological role or significance of the compound,
6) your sources of information.
