Note on "nutrient" paper: I will be looking for the following pieces:

  • statement of question (what are you searching for?)
  • how it relates to understanding physiological ecology
  • discussion of different ideas from 3 papers
  • synthesis of these ideas relative to initial question
  • evaluation of how you answered the question
    • did you meet the search
    • if not, what would be next

Note on term paper

  • undergraduates can build the paper based on the light and nutrient short papers with, maybe another reference or two to help join the two areas
  • graduate students are expected to pick their own topic and provide about 8 to 10 references

* Please see the syllabus for the differences between 473 and 573.
