Give an example of an environmental improvement that had unintended, negative consequencs.
The purpose of this assessment was to remind us to be humble in our actions and to stress the importance of using multiple perspectives when examining problems (to help avoid unintended consequences and traps).
Many good examples were provided including trying to clean up streams, DDT, cloud seeding, and others.
