Based on measurements on AFA grown at Puriponics

optical densities measured in 1 cm cells

2.6149 x dry_weight = OD660 (R2 = 0.9511) forced to go through zero

1.8245 x dry_weight = OD750 (R2 = 0.9051) forced to go through zero

(note: OD660/OD750 has a slope greater than zero because at higher cell densities the cells have relatively more chlorophyll)

 

dry_weight to carbon and moles carbon

dry_weight * 0.37 = weight_of_carbon

weight_of_carbon/12 = molesC
