quick trip to Rocky Point to launch a transect string of loggers

looking for surface destabilization from cooling due to the evapotranspiration of the wocus patch

tube design

• PVC tubes that fit over the green posts
  • tubes have a noodle, cut in half, screwed to the top to provide better buoyancy
• #2 and #4have:
  • light/temp logger on the top
  • LT loggers at 1 cm (determined from the floating ring), 5 cm, 10 cm 30 cm
  • a temperature tidbit at 20 cm
  • a separate ring that was supposed to sink to the bottom (but it didn't) that has 1 tidbit
• #1 has tidbits at all these distances
• #3 has only two tidbits at 1 and 10 --- need to check this

put the green posts at

• #1 -1 meter into the wocus in 0.4 meters deep
• #2 - 1 meter just outside in 0.7 meters deep
• #3 - !!! meters out from #1 in 0.4 meters deep
• #4 - !!! meters out in 0.9 meters deep
