2nd Avenue Records was established in 1982 as an independent owned record store located in downtown Portland, Oregon. Originally only 600 square feet, situated in a quintessential historic brick and mortar storefront, the business has since expanded to even more comfortable quarters in the same building which is known as the Governor Building. Our stock consists of new and used records, cds and cassettes representing many genres, including rock (classic and current), more favorites also include our shelves that we keep

For those traveling by light rail, the store is just one block west of the SW 1st and Oak stop. For out-of-town customers, please be advised that most light rail travel within the downtown area is free of charge.

Metered parking is generally available on the streets immediately adjacent to the store, and commercial parking lots also surround the store.
