Advice from former students of Bi 341

Former students are invited to submit statements.

From Fall, 1998:

Go to the course website and print a copy of the chapter outline before the lecture for that chapter. This will make it much easier to follow the lecture. Transfer students should be aware of the computer availability in the library. Make the chapter outline and lecture notes the primary focus of your study time and use the text as a reference for clarification of unclear topics. The information on the internet along with lecture notes will be your most valuable resource.

From successful students of fall, 1996:

Here is a brief detail of how I studied for your class: I attended lectures and listened carefully, taking detailed notes. When reading the textbook, I paid more attention to the items Dr. Newman mentioned in class. I attended all recitations and used the problem solving methods taught by Dr. Newman to do textbook and workbook problems. Finally, I did all workbook problems. The day before each test I would redo the pertinent workbook problems and quizzes from past recitations.
