Pre-trip writeup – see specifics in the field trip packet. This is due in my office (ST 312) by 3pm on Friday May 4, 2001. I suggest you try to get it in early.

While in the field you will probably be keeping pretty messy notes. I would suggest buying a notebook with a stiff cover to make writing easy. I would also suggest bringing pencils in addition to pens because they write easier if it’s raining. If you plan on making sketches, I would like you to use color to provide a better representation of what you are seeing. Before turning in your journal you will neatly type your journal entries and insert photos or sketches where appropriate and that is what you will turn in to me. I do not need to see your rough field notes.

Post-trip write-up (reflective journal) – see specifics in the field trip packet. This is due in my office by 3pm on Friday June 1, 2001.
