Each film submitted for MUS 346 must contain these features/elements...
- Standard video format
- Main title opening with credits (closing credits optional)
- Music/sfx covering whole video, including intro/outtro
- Sound track must end precisely as video ends
- Finished video submitted to Vimeo account
- Project notes submitted to D2L Assignments folder
- Some assignments have specific requirements. e.g. DME, Info sheet

NOTE: These guidelines may vary for some of the projects, check the assignments carefully
s1
- .mov (Quicktime)
- .mp4 (MPEG-4)
s2
- Using a video editor (e.g. iMovie) create an opening main title that include the name of the film and your name
- The main title can include other info if you like, e.g. DAW, date of creation, etc.
- You can start work on the score for your video before doing this, but the main title should be scored in some way
- You may also include closing credits; if you do, make sure to score this part as well
s3
- Make sure your sound track ends precisely with the original video (or closing credits if included)
- This is especiallly important with commercials
- Good rule of thumb: end .5 seconds before last video frame
s4
- When your video is completed, post it to your Vimeo account.
- Provide the URL of your video to the class spread sheet (link at top).
- If you are posting other video, you might make a Vimeo playlist or collection
s5
NOTE: PROJECT NOTES WILL NOT BE REQUIRED THIS TERM
s6
- Make sure to check the specific requirements for each project
s7
- When each project is done, go to the D2L discussion for that project and provide a review of a colleague's work
- For the 6 projects this term, review 5 of them for full credit
- Submit your review discussion post within a week after the project's due date
