No One Trains Alone

Scoring Description

Film 2 Spotting Notes

At the start, the music should have an anticipatory feeling, with a slight pulse. Nothing too heavy. Might be somewhat Olympic or noble, a la Chariots of Fire, but should not sound dated.

It should build to a climax just before the dive into the pool, setting up the joke. On the dive into the pool, it may want to leave that without score, or possibly a very light underscore. The music should not play the joke at all.

After he leaves the pool, the pace of the music should increase, more urgency, perhaps a more percussive version of the beginning, but to match the quicker edits. He's in a hurry now.

It should have a hit on the cut to the coffee lady holding the bike.

Should reach another climax or plateau as he leaves the driveway, setting up one-shot of coffee lady. Hold over this shot to let the joke sink in, but don't play the joke--the music is all his own emotion, and he is taking it seriously.

Consider a big hit on the No One Trains alone title, or possibly an additional chord or something? Again, serious, maybe even portentous.
