Dr. Bleiler will speak about chess in the context of game trees, perfect information and no chance, Zermelo's algorithm, and how it shows that chess has an outcome players can force.

Join us February 16th to play some chess against your friends! For those who want to learn how to play, we will have an instructional video by a chess master. Pizza and chess sets provided.

Kit Clement
How Group Theory Helps Us Understand How to Solve a Rubik's Cube Blindfolded.

Former PSU statistics instructor, Kit Clement, will join us over Zoom to talk about group theory and solving Rubik's cubes. Afterwards, we will learn how to start solving a Rubik's cube and those who are interested can race. There will be pizza and an assortment of cubes and puzzles for everyone to explore!
