CMENC Minutes--November 8, 2001

A. Minutes up for approval from last meeting.
Alison Guarente 1st, Jennifer Mohr 2nd, Motion Passed

B. We were approved for membership into the SOC (Student Organization Confrence)
We have a mailbox in the SOC, and one in the music office.
We are able to apply for the $400.00 from the SOC.
The mailbox will be checked once a week by Nick.

IV. New Business


A. Reminders about meetings-Bryn will email reminder, Mark will handle posters.

B. OMEA Confrence-
New flyers were distributed on the confrence containing information pertaining to the lectures.
Many persons are interested in going. We must arrange for applications, car-sharing, applying for funds for gas, hotel, etc.
A committee was formed to deal with the particulars: Alison Guarente, Ruth Elison, Joe Accuardi, Kathryn Schuh, and Jeremy Gallagher. We should apply to the music department for money for recruiting, for hotel and other expenses.
The booth will need to be manned the entire weekend from 4 pm Friday until 4 pm Sunday.
By 10/19, members must email Ruth Elison to tell her that he or she is attending, whether they need a hotel room, and 3 times to work the booth. Each block should be 2 hours long.

C. Roster
A Roster will be distributed to all members at the next meeting.

D. OMEA Website
There are workgroups available to advertise workshops and other educational items.

E. Workshops
Members are interested in bringing workshops to Portland State University.
Jean, Phillip and Juliet will be in charge of getting ideas togther.

F. The November meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, November 29th.

G. Meeting Adjourned.
