You can find basic Tsunami emergency management GIS data and photos of existing emergecy evacuation infrastructures on this web page. The GIS data have direct applications in assessing tsunami preparedness and planning for emergency evacuation and responses. Given the fact that a local tsunami could come onshore within 15 to 20 minutes after a sensed earthquake, effective and efficient evacuation plans are critical in reducing the casualties in the event of a tsunami. The interactive web page also provides photos of evacuation routes, signs, and destinations to let visitors learn the existing evacuation resources before they visit Seaside.
