You will use an online database to search 2 journal articles that you will review later this term. The two articles should each cover one of the remote sensing topics listed below.
Before you start Lab 1, please fill the on-line pre-course survey. Go to the survey website (http://survey.oit.pdx.edu/ss/wsb.dll/jduh/sdia2.htm) and follow the instructions to complete the questions.
When done with the pre-course survey, go to the journal article search and review instruction page (http://web.pdx.edu/~jduh/courses/faq/JouranlArticleSearch.htm). Follow the instructions and use the topics below as keywords to search articles that you are interested in reviewing in class.
Email the followings to the instructor by the deadline.
1) A list of 3 remote sensing journals. Describe their publishing schedule (i.e., quarterly, bimonthly etc) and the main focus of their articles. Also, indicate their call numbers and location (i.e., floor level) in PSU library, if available.
2) A list of the 2 journal articles and the keywords you used to find them. Briefly describe why you are interested in them. Make sure you can get a hold of these articles in PSU library, through inter-library loan, or other campus resources. Use the following citation format to list the articles.
