Processing flow

The graphical flowchart at right shows the basic ASAP processing flow.

• Raw GPS data loaded into standardized form
• GPS data divided into travel and non-travel (activity) periods
• Potential mode (e.g. bike, walk, etc.) changes identified to define travel stages
• If available, raw Accelerometer (physical activity level) data loaded into standardized form and joined to GPS trips and activities
• Travel mode imputed based on GPS, accelerometer, and transit GIS data
• Spatial data are map matched (joined to travel networks)
• Rich set of travel and activity variables calculated--analysis fun begins!
