Ground fracturing, Potrero Canyon. Here are some left-stepping 'pushups' at the toe of a landslide. Most of the fracturing in the Canyon was related to the entire valley floor behaving like a large landslide during the earthquake. Some areas also showed evidence of liquifaction. This type of feature is sometimes called a 'Sand boil' or 'sand volcano'.
