Dilutions
This page is an exercise in performing basic dilution calculations.
- Pressing "New Problem" will display a question to the right of the table. Enter the answer in the answer cell and press "Check Answer."
- In principle, molarity calculations should always be done using L for the volume, even though in a dilution problem, the analysis only requires that the volumes all have the same dimensions. All of the solutions here will use L for the volume.
- Pay close attention to the volume dimensions. Since this is drill and practice exercise, all values, including answers, are presented to just two significant figures.
- If you miss a problem three times, pressing "Show Answer" will display the complete solution and you will no longer be able submit an answer for that problem.
