Projects Created with "Runtime Revolution" Developer Software last modified:
5/5/07

Here are downloads of some of my software projects that are built with the developer application "Runtime Revolution", a sophisticated cross-platform descendent of HyperCard. (Link to their site). The files here may be in unfinished state, but might help you with your own projects. They are also intended to showcase my own work, of course. Some of my projects, such as my first-year college German package, are too big to upload and download. For more information and a CD-ROM copy, email me.

"CosmoLingua" language courseware
compressed stack (.zip, 3.9MB)

For developers interested in Runtime Revolution. This is the core stack (NOT the standalone app), so you can look inside it at the scripting. The 400MB of media that the stack calls aren't here and can't be, for practical reasons. Email me if you want the CD-ROM.

"Computer Tester" for cross-platform development with Runtime Revolution software.
for MacOSX (.zip, 1.2MB)

for Windows (.zip, 1 MB)

This program lets you check how various operating systems handle such things as filepaths and audio/video. Click on the buttons to see the strings the buttons return, to open the control panels for audio and video. See local values for the functions and properties "defaultFolder", "tempName", "systemVersion", "QTVersioin", "specialFolderPath of Desktop", "specialFolderPath of System", and "long name of this stack". Open up the sound and video input displays directly from the Tester. Another button lets you follow the operation of choosing a folder in which to save a file, so that you can see which directories on, say, a restricted student lab computer are accessible.

Audio-Visual Recording Palette
for MacOSX (.zip, 1.3MB)
for Windows (.zip, 1 MB)
(©2007 William B. Fischer & Duke of Plaza Toro Enterprises, Ltd.)

Standalone palette intended to make it easier to record audio, video and picture files on a computer. Simple interface and management of inputs. Can be set to store files on local computer, upload them to server, or both. Password-protected access to settings allows an instructor, for example, to specify server addresses, include an email address for an automatically generated report, and add assignment instructions. The current version (April 2007) is not fully functional and is not intended for distribution, but rather only for in-house trial usage.
