We plan several questionnaires about your experiences and skills. Their purposes are to encourage you to relate Humboldt's life and work to your own, and to show what special qualities you might contribute to the course. This questionnaire aims to survey your academic background and interests (both formal/official and informal/ "private") as they relate to subjects and issues that Humboldt worked with (which is just about everything). We want eventually to link you up with a book to read and a project (individual, group) to pursue. List as many interests as you want, though it will help us if you list more than way and fewer than 5. Indicate your interests with "√" or "y" or "x". Don't bother to indicate lacks of intersts. It's OK to list the same interest in more than one column (example: major and servious private interest). At the end there are some lines where you can add subjects to the list as you choose, as well as comments.
