PSU Academic Calendar & Final Exam Schedule
Notes

5 December 2004

The error in the time given here for the MW 6:40pm section (Minty) has been corrected to that announced in the official PSU Final Exam Schedule. The correct time is 7:30-9:20 on Monday, 6 December. Test location is the regular classroom.

26 October 2004

The schedule has been revised to allow us to spend an additional week on early Kontexte, orientation in materials, and tutorials about learning languages.

26 September 2004

IMPORTANT: this page is being revised often.Text altered with strikeout indicates material to ignore.

The course will cover Kontexte 1-8 or maybe 1-9, at a rate of one Kontext per week.

(Dates are in the standard international sequence: dd/mm. Links below go to lower in this page. "K" = "Kontext" or chapter of Wie, bitte? Text altered with strikeout indicates material to ignore.)

Starting with K3, "Kontext Assignments" include the following: initial message to instructor; "Tagesschau" report; listening assignment; reading assignment; writing based on graphics and broadcast segment; "Have Fun with German" report; self-evaluation on Kontext completion.

Activities and assignments listed under for a given week begin on Wednesday for MWF and MW classes; the corresponding day for the TR section is Tuesday (NOT Thursday) of that same week. The same principle applies for due dates. As for precise timing on due dates, the day is considered to last until 5pm for work submitted as hard copy, and midnight for work submitted electronically. The "clock" on due dates for assignment revisions and stage 2 of projects starts when your instructor gives / sends your work back to you.)
