We can not and must not claim to be conducting genuine ACTFL OPIs. But you can experiment a little as practice for when you maybe take the ACTFL workshop. So with this assignment you'll be covering the range of activities related to oral proficiency interviewing: finding an interview subject, planning your interview, arranging for proper recording, conducting the interview, assigning a rating, writing up the interview and rating, and evaluating your own interview technique. Here are the assignment specifications and scoring guide. (The specifications - as of April 2011 - may have some leftover language from when this course was taughtly jointly for WLL and Applied Linguistics. Apply common sense.) Problems? If you do not understand the terms of this assignment, or for some other reason encounter some obstacle in carrying it out, contact the course instructors.
