"The Normal Sleep"
Monophasic sleep is basically what you would call a normal sleeping pattern. A person sleeps for around 8 hours per night, although some studies have shown that 6 hours is sufficient. It’s the most natural sleeping pattern and most societies have adopted it.
PROS
- Most convinent sleeping patten
- One long sleep/awake session
- Fits into most cultural/social events
- Experience Multiple REM cycles
- Minimal risk of deprovation
CONS
- Requires a large amount of sleep
- Nonflexible sleep schedule
- Very hard to sleep 8hrs during the day
