Biographical Details:

As with most pioneer women, few details of their lives are known.  Even so, Margaret Hannah Woods was a daughter of John F. nad Betsey Bonham Woods.  Of course, the Bonham family had migrated from New England through New Jersey to the Virginia-North Carolina frontier.  Margaret Hannah Woods and Stephen Thomas Perkins were married in Grayson County, Virginia, on January 29, 1818.  Shortly thereafter their settled in orther Ashe County, North Carolina, and rmained there until 1833 when they relocated to north central Illinois.  They apparently remained in Illinois for the remainder of their lives.  Margaret Hannah Woods Perkins died in 1890 and was buried in the Greenfield Cemetery in Bureau County, Illinois.
