Mercury cover

The topic “ Dream Concert” for my mercury cover aims in creating a imagitive music world for my audience. My audience are young people who love natural and weird. It also represents the weirdness of Portland. Those weird colors, such as bluish green skin and dark green lips, for the illustrations, create a weird and fun visual experience for my audience. It tells the story of the part of the half brain became a bee with two ears, coming to listen to the concert. I also placed a record player on his half head to highlight the concert and drag audience’s attention on the cover. I designed a calabash instrument to get into the theme of concert. Moreover, the giant head, covering part of the Mercury title, gives audience stronger visual strike, which seems that it is going to come out. It also conforms to the previous Mercury styles with the board of Mercury title, a pop-out label and three subtitles.
