Clarendon Type Specimen

Clarendon was a typeface created in 1845 and was popularly used for western wanted and reward posters. Playing off that part of history inspired the color choices and theme of this type specimen book. The words chosen for sample text are western slang and are taken straight from an event poster. Connecting the type's history to its type specimen book helps connect the viewer understand why it was created and what its intentions were for.
