I am an Associate Professor in Child and Family Studies. I received my Ph.D. in Education : Women’s and Family Studies from the University of Minnesota in 1990. I have been an early childhood educator and director, a parent educator, a coordinator of a program for human services practitioners who work with recovering chemically dependent parents, and a collage professor. I have taught in Teacher Education Programs and a Family Studies Program in Minnesota, Alberta, Canada, Nairobi, Kenya, and Oregon.
