This is the course website for Chemistry 427/527: Instrumental Analysis Laboratory. Below you will find links to the course syllabus, schedule and other important information. All of this stuff is replicated over at the D2L site, so you should probably check that one out now if you have not already. Dr. Atkinson

Webnotes for Experiments

Some notes on safety and notebooks, and on handling solutions in the lab, that you might find useful. Thanks to my predecessor, Dr. Lin.

Labnotes:

We do not have a textbook or lab manual for this class, per se. The webnotes above provide most of the information that you will need to do the experiments. There will be other materials and a lecture to help you understand how to prepare the lab reports. Please be sure to attend lab the first week. First, you may lose your place in the lab to someone who was there, if you are missing. Second, I plan to take the first day of lab to lecture about how the lab will work and information about the labs we will do. Since we can not possibly cover everything in lecture before you need it in the lab, I think this will be very useful information in writing up the labs. Come ready to take lots of notes the first day. We will still check in to lab that day and we will use the last week of the term for the final make-up day and for check-out.
