Bi 253 Principles of Biology

General Information

The third (and most wonderful!) part of the introductory biology sequence for Biology majors.

Principles of Biology is split into two lecture courses. They share the same labs. You must enroll for a lab section and either the night or day lecture sections.

Once you pick a lecture and lab section, you must stick with your choices. The lecture instructor, exams, scoring and grading for the night section are completely separate from the day section.

The text is available in the bookstore: Freeman, Biological Science, 2nd Edition.

The day lecture section:
meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11:30 AM to 12:35 PM in Hoffman Hall.
The instructor is Randy Zelick, 332 Science Building II, email

Dr. Zelick's office hours are from 3:30 to 5:30 PM on Wednesdays, or by appointment.
