Inquiry
and Critical Thinking:
Last term I defined this as:
Inquiry and Critical thinking is an important aspect of the learning
process. To inquire is to actively find the answers
to questions that that concern us in our everyday life. Critical
thinking allows us to consider the answers to these
questions and to learn heuristically from the evidence presented.
This term I redefine this as:
Inquiry and Critical thinking are my favorite aspects of education. To
inquire and think are the most enjoyable activities I
partake. I do not believe learning is possible without inquiry or
critical thinking. It is one thing to become a repository for
knowledge, it is quite another to have a genuine understanding. And
understanding is joyous.
